History of the Park

The Taino Valley Tropical Park is a privately owned and managed ecological attraction garden that opened in the fall of 2019 for the public.

The construction of the hiking trails, ponds and aviary, began many years ago as a private park.

We have added now many new and interesting exhibits to enhance the quality of your visit.

Our mission and strategy is to preserve and protect the natural environment of the area for the education, entertainment, and enjoyment of all ages of people. This combines environmentally conscious design with maximum educational impact to the visitor.

Mr. Patrick Vez

The Taino Valley Tropical Park comprises over 250.000 m2 / 63 acres / 25 hectares of forest with a wide range of different (fruit) trees, flowers, birds, petting zoo, fish pounds and a natural lake.

The 2.5 kilometers (1.6 mile) of hiking trails and viewing points were designed and built without cutting many trees. The construction of the trails and platforms has been done without the use of heavy equipment in the forest. Trees were left undisturbed, to give shade and shelter to visitors and the gardens inhabitants.

The credit for this tremendous accomplishment goes to Mr. Patrick Vez who designed the complete lay-out from the Taino Valley Tropical Park.
